Kim Hastings Agency Rewards Program Terms and Conditions


The Kim Hastings Agency Rewards Program (“Program”) is a loyalty program sponsored by the Kim Hastings Agency, Inc. (“Kim Hastings Agency” or “The Insurance Teacher” or “The Agency”). Membership in the Program is open to individuals who are residents of the 50 states of the U. S., and who are authorized to work in the U.S, and are 18 years of age or older (“Member” or “you”). Kim Hastings Agency Referral Rewards Members who meet those criteria, who have applied on (“Our Site”) and have uploaded a signed W9 Tax Form are automatically enrolled in the Program. Also, if you create an account on on or after February 1, 2018 and meet Program membership requirements, you will be automatically enrolled in the Program.  Program membership is not available to corporations, businesses, non-profit organizations, partnerships, governmental agencies, or any other entity, unless written approval is received in advance from the Kim Hastings Agency.  Resellers are expressly excluded from the Program. By participating in the Program, you (i) represent that you are an individual and 18 years of age or older, and (ii) accept these Program Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).


General Membership Terms.

Membership is limited to one per individual per email address, auto-enrolled Kim Hastings Agency Client or Kim Hastings Agency Referral Partner account, or auto-enrolled account.

Members that have provided a valid email address for use with their Program account will be sent electronic statements, program benefits, and other materials related to their Rewards account and Kim Hastings Agency transactions, at the discretion of Kim Hastings Agency. Kim Hastings Agency Referral Partners may also link the email address associated with their Program account to their InsuranceTeacher client account at Kim Hastings Agency reserves the right to suspend or discontinue the emailing of Kim Hastings Agency Rewards updates, Rewards certificates, and/or related materials to Members at any time and for any reason.

Information about Members will be maintained and handled according to Kim Hastings Agency’s Privacy Policy. See for additional details.

To view your Rewards account activity, you will need to have an account on our site and sign in. Each Member is responsible for maintaining accurate and updated contact information. You may update your contact information online at or by calling ContractCoach who is our program administrator at 281-752-6565.

Membership Enrollment Channels.  There are several ways to become a Member: (1) through online enrollment at, (2) through auto-enrollment by being a valued client in our agency, (3) by providing an email address and phone number for enrollment in-office at our listed address listed below, or (4) on or after February 1, 2018, auto-enrollment of a newly created account.

Online Enrollment. To enroll online, visit and follow the instructions. To receive all benefits associated with the Program, including electronic notification and access to Rewards certificates, you will need to have a account.


Rewards Points & Certificates 

Reward Points may or may not be equal to US dollars. Because prices for approved merchandise fluctuate from time-to-time, Our Program Administrator has grouped items in price ranges which are comparable to other items within the group. 

Qualified Referrals. A “qualified referral” is one that:

  • has been submitted through our Referral Partner Dashboard at,
  • has not been submitted before by the same or another Referral Partner,
  • is not currently a client of The Kim Hastings Agency,
  • is in the State of Texas,
  • allows a quote to be issued by our agency, and
  • is not the same person as the Referral Partner him or herself.

Points will not be added into the Referral Partner Account until they have been validated by Our Program Administrator.

Referral Points. For every qualified referral, the Referral Partner will receive Referral Points (“Points”) as calculated below:

  • Auto Insurance: 1 Point
  • Home Insurance: 3 Points
  • Renters Insurance: 1 Point
  • Condo Insurance: 1 Point
  • Personal Umbrella: 2 Points
  • Motorcycle: 2 Points
  • Boat: 1 Point
  • Recreational Vehicle: 1 Point
  • Business Property: 5 Points
  • Business Auto: 3 Points
  • Workers Compensation: 5 Points
  • Business Umbrella: 2 Points
  • Life Insurance: 5 Points
  • Health Insurance: 3 Points
  • Annuity: 5 Points
  • College Funding: 2 Points
  • SEP or Simple IRA: 5 Points
  • Retirement (Not SEP or IRA): 3 Points

Bonus Points. Bonus points will be added to your account if your referred lead purchases insurance from our agency within 60-days AFTER your submission on Our Site. Bonus Points will be calculated as follows:

  • Auto Insurance: 10 Points
  • Home Insurance: 30 Points
  • Renters Insurance: 10 Points
  • Condo Insurance: 10 Points
  • Personal Umbrella: 5 Points
  • Motorcycle: 10 Points
  • Boat: 10 Points
  • Recreational Vehicle: 5 Points
  • Business Property: 50 Points
  • Business Auto: 30 Points
  • Workers Compensation: 50 Points
  • Business Umbrella: 5 Points
  • Life Insurance: 50 Points
  • Health Insurance: 30 Points

Double Bonus Points: The following referrals are considered “Double Bonus Points” and will be rewarded as follows:

Recommending Another Referral Partner: If you recommend another Referral Partner to create a Referral Partner Account on our site, you will be rewarded 25 Double Bonus Points after they complete the Referral Partner Certification Course and an additional 25 Double Bonus Points when they submit their first Qualified Referral.

Point Validation Process. No less than once per month, Our Program Administrator (com), will review the submitted referrals to our agency through Our Site and will credit all validated referrals in accordance with this Agreement.

Disqualified Referral Points. In the event that Referral Points have been disallowed, notice will be uploaded into the Referral Partner account as to why the referral was not approved by our Program Administrator. The Insurance Teacher and reserve the right to approve or deny as interpreted by this agreement.

Merchandise Groups 

Merchandise will be listed in Groups (“Merchandise Groups”) on based on the price at the time of listing. Because prices for merchandise change, please frequent our site to make certain your item has not moved groups before you have enough points to complete the request for purchase.

  • Group A – Items valued between $25-$49
  • Group B – Items valued between $50-$99
  • Group C – Items valued between $100-$149
  • Group D – Items valued between $150-$249
  • Group E – Items valued between $250-$349
  • Group F – Items valued between $350-$499
  • Group G – Items valued between $500-$749
  • Group H – Items valued between $750-$999
  • Group I – Items valued between $1,000-$1,249
  • Group J – Items valued between $1,250-$1,499
  • Group H – Items valued between $1,500-$2,000 

Redeeming Membership Rewards

Members will need to take one of the following steps to redeem Points from their Program account for merchandise:

Sign in to your account on Our Site. Review the items available for purchase to determine if an acceptable item to purchase is on the list of recommended products.

Submit your Request for Purchase. A form is provided on our site to request the transfer of points to purchase an approved item to Our Program Administrator.

Request Additional Products. If there is another desired product not listed on our site, you may request special consideration to add an item to our approved list. The Kim Hastings Agency and Our Program Administrator reserves the sole and exclusive right to approve or deny all requests to add additional products to our approved list.

Rewards Points in Exchange for Insurance Premium DueReward Points cannot be used to purchase insurance products by the agency for a client, pay insurance premium due (rebate premium), reduce future premium or offset insurance premium in any way. If at any time the agency believes State Insurance Laws would be violated for issuing reward points and/or exchange for merchandise, The Insurance Teacher will immediately, and with or without notice to the Referral Partner, void the transaction and terminate the Referral Partner Account in question.

Rights of Accumulation. The maximum number of Points that you can receive for a single purchase transaction is 2,000 Points (“Point Maximum”) regardless of the amount of the qualifying Referral Rewards. Points are issued with respect to orders (made online or in-store) when payment card/account is charged. Points are earned on the dollar amount of the qualifying purchase after all applicable discounts, offers, coupons and Rewards are applied.

Expiration. As long as your account is active and in good standing, your reward points will never expire. However, if you have not referred a qualified lead in your account for 12 consecutive months, your account may be closed by Our Program Administrator and all Referral Points will be forfeited.

Good Standing. Your account is considered in “good standing” when you have abided by all of the requirements listed in this Agreement and you continue to refer leads to our Agency. By not signing in to your account with 12-consecutive months, your account may be closed as “inactive” by Our Program Administrator.

Point Transfer or Cash-in-Lieu. Points have no cash value. Rewards cannot be credited to any account, redeemed for cash, replaced if merchandise is returned, or applied to prior purchases. Unless otherwise expressly stated or pursuant to a particular Program feature, Program membership, Points, rewards and offers are not transferable.  Rewards are void where prohibited by law.

Delivery of Rewards. Our Program Administrator determines the method in which merchandise is ordered and the delivery method for redemption. In most cases, merchandise is purchased using our affiliate account on Allow 5-10 business days for processing of your order and normal mail delivery. Shipments outside of the continental US may be subject to additional shipping charges.

Additional Terms

Kim Hastings Agency Rewards Membership and its benefits are offered at the discretion of Kim Hastings Agency, Inc. Kim Hastings Agency and ContractCoach reserves the right to amend or modify the Program or any of its terms, features or benefits at any time and in any way without notice (including, without limitation, the number of Points or Rewards earned for each dollar in purchases, the number of Points that can be earned per purchase transaction, the type and amount of any Kim Hastings Agency Reward certificate, and the type and amount of other Program benefits). Kim Hastings Agency further reserves the right to terminate the Program or any Program features or benefits at any time without notice.

We may change these Terms as described above at any time in our sole discretion by posting the updated Terms at Your continued participation in the Program will constitute your acceptance of such changes. You should therefore periodically visit this page to review the then-current Terms to which you are bound.

The Kim Hastings Agency is not responsible for undelivered, misdelivered, or delayed email transmissions or mail or text messages or for incorrect addresses and other contact information resulting from incorrect or incomplete personal information (including, without limitation, email address or other contact information) provided by a Member or for a Member’s failure to notify Kim Hastings Agency of a change in such information.

Kim Hastings Agency reserves the right to interpret and apply the policies and procedures communicated in these Terms in its sole discretion, subject to applicable law. All determinations by Kim Hastings Agency will be final and conclusive in each case. These Terms supersede all previously published Terms in their entirety.

In the event of a dispute over ownership of the Program account, the account will be declared to belong to the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of enrollment. For purposes of these Terms, the “authorized account holder” is the natural person who is assigned to the submitted email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

Abuse of the Program (e.g. failure to follow Program policies and procedures, or the sale or barter of Rewards, products, Points, or promotional offers, or other improper conduct), as determined by Kim Hastings Agency in its sole judgment may result in a Member being disqualified from participation in the Program, including forfeiture of previously issued but unused Rewards, and previously accrued Points, all to the extent permitted by applicable law.  At our discretion we may prosecute abuse of the Program to the fullest extent of the law.

Unless otherwise expressly stated or pursuant to a particular Program feature, Program membership, Points, Rewards and offers are not transferable and may not be combined among Members. Rewards and accrued Points do not constitute property of the Member and are not transferable by the Member upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter, or otherwise.

Kim Hastings Agency reserves the right to make promotional offers available to select Members based on use of a Kim Hastings Agency Membership Account, the status of their insurance account within our agency, geographic location, Program participation, and/or information supplied by the Member. Kim Hastings Agency reserves the right to add, withdraw, amend, or otherwise change bonus opportunities at any time at its sole discretion, with or without notice to Members.

Kim Hastings Agency, com, its subsidiaries and affiliate entities, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) make no warranty, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to the Program, Membership in the Program, or any products or services related to the Program.

By participating in the Program, each Member hereby releases the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and other expenses (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees) relating to that Member’s participation in the Program, use of Rewards Certificates, or agreement to these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

The Kim Hastings Agency and The Insurance Teacher logo, Kim Hastings Agency Rewards logo, and other logos and taglines are the intellectual property of Kim Hastings Agency.

These terms will be governed by and construed under the substantive laws of the State of Texas, without reference to conflict-of-laws considerations.


Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating in any way to a Member’s participation in the Program, including, without limitation, the issuance of Points, the issuance or redemption of Rewards, or the receipt of any Program benefits, will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that a Member may assert claims in small claims court if the Member’s claims qualify. In addition, The Kim Hastings Agency and Members each retain the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation or violation of a party’s copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, or other intellectual property rights. The Federal Arbitration Act and federal arbitration law apply to this agreement to arbitrate. There is no judge or jury in arbitration and court review of an arbitration award is very limited. The scope of discovery is more limited in arbitration than in court. However, an arbitrator can award on an individual basis the same damages and relief as a court (including injunctive and declaratory relief or statutory damages), and must follow the terms of these Kim Hastings Agency Rewards Program Terms and Conditions as a court would. To begin an arbitration proceeding, you must send a letter requesting arbitration and describing your claim to Kim Hastings Agency’s Registered Agent/Legal Department, located at 11621 Spring Cypress Rd Suite E, Tomball, Texas 77377. The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its rules, including the AAA’s Consumer Arbitration Rules. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. The AAA’s rules are available at or by calling 1-800-778-7879. Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA’s rules. Kim Hastings Agency will reimburse all such filing, administration and arbitrator fees for claims totaling less than $500 unless the arbitrator determines the claims are frivolous. Likewise, Kim Hastings Agency will not seek attorneys’ fees and costs in arbitration unless the arbitrator determines the claims are frivolous. A Member may choose to have the arbitration conducted by telephone, based on written submissions, or in person in the county where you live or at another mutually agreed location.  Kim Hastings Agency and Member each agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated or representative action. Kim Hastings Agency and Member each hereby waive the right to participate in any class action, whether in court or arbitration. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than in arbitration Kim Hastings Agency and Member each waive any right to a jury trial.
